Diodes

Phiar’s metal-insulator diodes cover a wide range of performance needs at competitive prices. Phiar’s unique technology results in diode designs spanning frequencies from DC to 3 THz that are compatible with a wide range of substrates, including CMOS and RF Flex.

Phiar’s p1415 diode design features the excellent
performance one would expect from a Square Law Diode.Phiar currently has a handful of well characterized, repeatable, high performance diode designs.

While we do not yet offer production diodes, please contact us to learn more about Phiar’s fit for you applications.

When appropriate, Phiar can customize diode designs for your needs. We plan to provide both discrete packaged diodes, and licenses for our diode designs for direct on-die integration with your electronics.

Figure 1 shows a representative current–voltage graph for a Phiar diode. Our diodes can be tuned over a large range for many different variables. For example, Phiar makes diodes with current densities spanning seven orders of magnitude.

Table 1 provides one an idea of Phiar diodes’ capabilities. Please note that the variables listed are interrelated: As it is with traditional diodes, MIIM diode design is an exercise in compromise and prioritization.
